University of Greenwich • London
An internationally-framed MBA at a genuine London campus — Greenwich’s riverside setting, sub-£21,500 fees and January and September starts.
Our take
Greenwich offers what most applicants assume does not exist: an MBA taught at an actual London campus — the university’s riverside home in maritime Greenwich — with a fee band that tops out at £21,375. That combination makes it one of the lowest-cost routes to studying business in the capital itself, DLR and rail links putting Canary Wharf minutes away and the City not far beyond. The programme’s International Business framing suits the cross-border trajectories of this site’s audience, and January alongside September starts adds timing flexibility. The honest caveat mirrors Kingston’s: you are buying London access and cost-efficiency, not a flagship accreditation brand — the right trade for most self-funded professionals building UK careers.
| Duration | 1 year full-time |
| Intake | January & September |
| Accreditation | Greenwich Business School |
| Tuition | Within Greenwich’s 2026/27 international postgraduate band of £18,700–£21,375; exact MBA fee confirmed in your offer. The £3,000 deposit is deducted from tuition. |
Where this leads: A master’s-level business qualification — no professional registration involved. Pairs with the Graduate visa for post-study work in London.
Both intakes run; January is well established for business programmes.
Why Greenwich
Maritime Greenwich — river, DLR to Canary Wharf, rail to the City. Study in the capital, not near it.
Few London MBAs price below the mid-twenties; Greenwich’s band makes the capital financeable for self-funded applicants.
Part-time work, networking and the Graduate-visa job hunt all benefit from the financial district being a short DLR ride from campus.
The curriculum is built around cross-border trade and management — matching the family-business and global-career profiles we advise most.

Entry requirements
English language
Greenwich expects a formal English test from most international applicants. Greenwich does not list Medium of Instruction (MOI) letters among its accepted English evidence — but it publishes generous school-level waivers instead. Indian students with 65% in Standard XII English are exempt from IELTS (not applicable to Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh or Uttarakhand boards), and Nigerian students with WAEC/NECO SSCE English at C6 or above are also exempt. A full bachelor's or master's degree completed in a majority English-speaking country waives the requirement too. Pakistani and UAE applicants should plan for an approved test.
Also accepted: PTE Academic (scores mapped band-for-band, from 51 for IELTS 5.5 equivalent), Duolingo English Test 95–130 depending on course level, Oxford ELLT 6–7, Indian Standard XII English 65% (most boards), Nigerian WAEC/NECO English C6 or above. Pre-sessional English is available if you fall short.
Careers
Your country
Greenwich publishes Pakistan-specific requirements: FA/FSc/ICom/HSSC with a minimum of around 70% for undergraduate entry, and for taught master's a four-year bachelor's degree with at least 60%, or a two- to three-year degree plus a master's at 55–65% depending on the course. No HSSC English waiver is published, so plan for IELTS 6.5 (5.5 per skill) or an accepted alternative — and note that Pakistani applicants are currently asked to pay 100% of first-year tuition before a CAS is issued, so financial planning matters more here than at most universities.
Full guide for PakistanFor undergraduate entry Greenwich typically asks for Standard XII with a minimum of 65%, obtained within the last two years; taught master's usually require a bachelor's degree with 55% in the final year, reduced to 50% for graduates of Mumbai, Pune, Calcutta, Delhi, Bangalore and Madras universities. Students with 65% in Standard XII English are exempt from IELTS (except Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand boards). Applicants from India currently pay around 50% of first-year fees before CAS — 100% for Punjab and Haryana — so apply early.
Full guide for IndiaGreenwich is one of the most popular London universities with Nigerian students, and it shows in the support: WAEC/NECO SSCE English at C6 or above exempts you from IELTS, there is an in-country representative, and taught master's typically require a four-year bachelor's degree at Second Class Lower (2.2) or above. Undergraduate applicants usually enter via A Levels, IB or a foundation year through Greenwich's international college. Applicants from much of Sub-Saharan Africa are currently asked for around 50% of first-year fees before a CAS, so budget for a larger upfront payment.
Full guide for NigeriaStudents applying from UAE schools with A Levels, IB or Indian/Pakistani board qualifications are assessed against those curricula; holders of the UAE national secondary certificate (Tawjihiyya) typically need a foundation year through the university's international college first. For taught master's, Greenwich asks for a bachelor's degree with a GPA of around 2.8/4.0 or 70% for 2:2-equivalent entry. UAE nationals currently pay only the standard £3,000 deposit before CAS, and both the September and January intakes work well from the Gulf.

FAQ
Yes — at the university’s Greenwich campus in maritime Greenwich, on the Thames, inside London. (Note the contrast with Greenwich’s pharmacy provision, which runs at Medway in Kent — business stays in the capital.)
Fees sit in the 2026/27 band of £18,700–£21,375 — among the lowest for any MBA physically in London — with the exact figure in your offer. The £3,000 deposit counts toward tuition. Budget London rents honestly alongside it; Greenwich and neighbouring boroughs run cheaper than zone 1–2 but are still London.
Modules and projects framed around cross-border strategy, trade and market entry rather than single-market management — a fit for applicants whose careers span the UK and their home markets.
Both run. January suits applicants regrouping after the autumn cycle; the compressed visa timeline needs discipline, and we map it week by week in our January-intake guide.
Fees, entry requirements, English-language policies and intake dates are correct to the best of our knowledge at the date shown, but universities review them every cycle and immigration rules change. Always treat figures as a guide — we confirm the exact, current requirements with the university before you apply. Facts on this page last checked July 2026.
