For overseas pharmacists
The complete, current list of GPhC-accredited OSPAP providers — fees, cities, deposits and intakes compared — from the consultancy that specialises in overseas pharmacist registration.
OSPAP is the one-year conversion diploma that overseas pharmacists must complete before the GPhC registration assessment. Because only a handful of universities are accredited to run it, choosing between them comes down to fees, city living costs and the support you'll get into foundation training. These profiles give you the verified numbers; our advisors — who work with OSPAP applicants every week — help you choose and apply.

The complete OSPAP guideFAQ
Only a small number of GPhC-accredited universities run the OSPAP diploma — they are all listed on this page with fees and intakes. The list can change as accreditations are added or withdrawn, so we confirm the current providers with the GPhC before you apply.
It depends on your budget and where you want to build your UK life. Sunderland is usually the most affordable; London options cost more but suit those targeting London foundation-training placements. All providers lead to the same GPhC registration route, so choose on cost, city and support.
A GPhC eligibility letter (apply first — it takes 8–16 weeks), your pharmacy degree documents, and IELTS Academic 7.0 in all components or OET Grade B. Universities will not assess you without the GPhC letter.
Completely. OSPAP is the GPhC-mandated conversion diploma that leads to UK pharmacist registration. A standard MSc (e.g. Clinical Pharmacy) is an academic degree that does NOT license you to practise. If your goal is to work as a pharmacist in the UK, OSPAP is the route.
OSPAP typically starts each September, with university applications open roughly January to May. Working backwards — GPhC eligibility, English test, application, CAS and visa — you should start the process 12–18 months before your target September.
Fees, entry requirements, English-language policies and intake dates are correct to the best of our knowledge at the date shown, but universities review them every cycle and immigration rules change. Always treat figures as a guide — we confirm the exact, current requirements with the university before you apply.
