Our take

Is this the right course for you?

Bradford is the only university on our list without an MBA, and that is a feature, not a gap: its School of Management — one of the longer-established in the UK — concentrates its international cohort into this MSc instead. The result is a flagship-quality business master’s at a fee band starting £15,700, the lowest opening price for international business study on our list, in a city whose living costs and established South Asian communities make it the gentlest Yorkshire landing. January and September intakes both run. For fresh graduates whose comparison set is “cheapest credible UK business master’s”, Bradford against Sunderland and Teesside is usually the final round — and Bradford’s management-school heritage is its tiebreaker.

Where this leads: A master’s-level business qualification — no professional registration involved. Pairs with the Graduate visa for post-study work in the UK.

Both intakes run for the management portfolio.

Why Bradford

What makes this course at Bradford different.

Flagship focus

With no MBA above it, Bradford’s management school pours its employer links and teaching depth into this MSc — you are the main event, not the undercard.

The price floor with pedigree

A band from £15,700 at one of the UK’s longer-established management schools — the rare combination of cheapest and credible.

A familiar city

Bradford’s large South Asian communities, low rents and compact scale make it one of the easiest UK cities to arrive into from Pakistan or India.

Leeds next door

Yorkshire’s commercial capital — and its graduate job market — sits twenty minutes away for the post-study year.

What you study

Entry requirements

What you need to apply.

  • A bachelor’s degree at 2:2-equivalent or above, any discipline
  • No professional experience required
  • IELTS around 6.0 or an accepted equivalent
  • Standard funds evidence for the £5,000 deposit and CAS — we sequence it with you

English language

Bradford asks IELTS 6.0 as standard — clinical courses often ask more.

Bradford expects a formal English test from most international applicants. Bradford does not publish a Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter route, so plan for a formal test. It does, however, accept strong school-level English for some markets: typically 70% in English within CBSE/CISCE Class XII for India, and WAEC/SSCE English Language at C6 or better for Nigeria. Pakistani applicants are usually asked for IELTS or an accepted alternative.

Also accepted: PTE Academic 62 (59 in each part), Duolingo English Test 110 (100 in each subscore), TOEFL iBT 80, Oxford ELLT 6 (5 in each sub-test), BASALT — Bradford’s own English test, 6.0 (5.5 in each sub-test). Pre-sessional English is available if you fall short.

Your country

Applying to Bradford from your country.

From Pakistan

Bradford publishes clear equivalencies for Pakistani qualifications: HSSC/Intermediate at 60% is treated as roughly 96–119 UCAS points, 65% as 120–135 and 70% as 136+, while for Master’s entry a CGPA of 2.5/4.0 is read as a UK 2:2 and 3.0 as a 2:1. Bachelor degrees of three years or less usually need two years of relevant work experience on top. Budget carefully for the deposit — applicants from Pakistan currently pay £10,000 (not the standard £5,000) before a CAS is issued. On the plus side, the Bestway Foundation funds five full Master’s scholarships worth around £35,000 each for Pakistan-domiciled STEM students, and the city’s long-established Pakistani community makes settling in unusually easy.

From India

Class XII (CBSE, CISCE and most state boards) at around 70–80% maps to roughly 96–136+ UCAS points for undergraduate entry, and a bachelor’s at 60% is typically read as a UK 2:2, with 65–70% needed for a 2:1 or first. Usefully, Bradford accepts 70% in English within CBSE/CISCE Class XII in place of IELTS. Two things to note: applicants to MSc International Business Management from Punjab and Haryana are currently asked to pay the full tuition fee in advance, and India’s CAS and deposit deadline for September 2026 is 21 August.

From Nigeria

WAEC/SSCE alone does not qualify for direct undergraduate entry — students typically join via the International Foundation Year at the University of Bradford International College. For Master’s, an honours degree assessed as a UK 2:2 or above is expected. Bradford accepts C6 or better in WAEC/SSCE English Language (and the NABTEB equivalent) instead of IELTS, which saves both money and time. The university also has an in-country representative and a wide agent network across Lagos, Abuja and other cities.

From the UAE

Holders of the UAE General Secondary Education Certificate usually need a foundation programme before starting a bachelor’s degree, while postgraduate applicants are assessed on the standard GPA scale (2.5/4.0 for a 2:2, 3.0 for a 2:1). Bradford runs a Regional Hub at Dubai Knowledge Park — home of its Executive MBA in Dubai — so you can get face-to-face advice without leaving the Emirates. UAE nationals currently sit in the £2,000 tier of the Global Scholar Award.

FAQ

MSc International Business and Management at Bradford — common questions.

Why does Bradford have no MBA?

The School of Management concentrates its international offer into MSc programmes, with this course as the flagship. For applicants the practical effect is positive: the school’s employer links and attention focus here rather than on a pricier tier above you.

How cheap is it really?

The 2026/27 band runs £15,700–£19,500 — the lowest opening price on our business list — with Bradford’s living costs among England’s lowest on top. Total cost of the year routinely undercuts southern equivalents by £10,000+.

Do I need work experience or a business degree?

Neither. A 2:2-equivalent bachelor’s in any discipline qualifies, and the course builds management foundations before the international specialism.

What is the job market like from Bradford?

Leeds — Yorkshire’s commercial capital — is twenty minutes away and absorbs most of the region’s graduate business hiring. Many of our clients study at Bradford prices and job-hunt at Leeds salaries on the Graduate visa.

Fees, entry requirements, English-language policies and intake dates are correct to the best of our knowledge at the date shown, but universities review them every cycle and immigration rules change. Always treat figures as a guide — we confirm the exact, current requirements with the university before you apply. Facts on this page last checked July 2026.
