University of Huddersfield • Huddersfield
Graduate-entry international business with three intakes a year — Yorkshire costs, and the Leeds–Manchester corridor for the job hunt.
Our take
Huddersfield’s International Business MSc pairs the family’s most forgiving calendar — September, January and May starts — with Yorkshire’s cost base and a graduation geography between Leeds and Manchester, two of the UK’s largest hiring markets. Entry is any-discipline from a 2:2-equivalent. Note for researchers comparing Huddersfield’s catalogue: the university also lists an MSc Management with International Business — a management-first variant of the same family; this page covers the flagship International Business route, and we advise which variant fits your profile when you apply. Managers with experience belong on the Huddersfield MBA, which shares the same three-intake calendar.
| Duration | 1 year full-time |
| Intake | September & January & May |
| Accreditation | Huddersfield Business School |

Where this leads: A master’s-level business qualification — no professional registration involved. Pairs with the Graduate visa for post-study work in the UK.
Three intakes a year across the business portfolio; confirm May availability for your cycle.
Why Huddersfield
September, January and May starts rescue delayed applications — a term lost, not a year.
Leeds and Manchester both sit in commuting range — twice the Graduate-visa options of a single-city degree.
Mid-band fees plus some of England’s lowest rents keep the year financeable for self-funded families.
The Management-with-International-Business sibling lets us match the variant to your background rather than forcing one shape.

Entry requirements
English language
Huddersfield expects a formal English test from most international applicants. Huddersfield states it will not normally waive the English requirement for students who completed a programme taught in English in their home country — so a Medium of Instruction letter is not accepted in place of a test. Budget for IELTS, PTE or an accepted alternative from the outset; health courses usually need higher bands (nursing typically IELTS 7.0).
Also accepted: PTE Academic 59 overall (minimum 59 in each component), TOEFL iBT 87 overall, Cambridge C1 Advanced grade C, Trinity ISE II (B2) and LanguageCert International ESOL. Pre-sessional English is available if you fall short.
Careers
Your country
Huddersfield has a recruitment office in Pakistan and considers HSSC applicants for undergraduate entry typically at around 60% overall; students below that can route through the International Study Centre foundation. For master's entry, both 2-year and 3-year Pakistani bachelor degrees are considered — typically at around 55-60% — which is more flexible than universities that insist on 16 years of education. MOI letters are not accepted, so sit IELTS (6.0 overall, 5.5 per band for most courses) or PTE early.
Full guide for PakistanIndian applicants are typically considered with Standard XII at around 60-65% for direct undergraduate entry, and a bachelor degree at around 55-60% (second class) for most taught master's courses — requirements vary by course and board, so ask us to pre-check your transcripts. India is on the GREAT Scholarships list, worth £10,000 towards a one-year master's, alongside the university's automatic merit scholarship. An MOI letter will not replace an English test here.
Full guide for IndiaHuddersfield's published Nigeria guidance references WAEC/NECO at grade C6 or above, and the university has an in-country recruitment presence. For master's entry a good bachelor degree (typically second class) from a recognised Nigerian university is usually required. Nigeria is a GREAT Scholarships country for 2026/27. English evidence is assessed case by case — do not rely on an MOI letter, as Huddersfield does not normally waive the English requirement.
Full guide for NigeriaApplicants from UAE curriculum schools typically need a foundation year (available via the International Study Centre) before undergraduate entry, while students with A Levels, IB or strong CBSE grades from UAE schools can be considered for direct entry. For master's courses a recognised bachelor degree at a good standard is usually required. Many UAE-based applicants are working professionals — the January and May intakes in business and computing are useful if you miss September.
